'Feerie Florale' - Alden Biesen - 'NEW PARTNERSHIP' - Belgium
27th to 30th September 2024
The collaboration with the Royal Belgian professional association for florists (Beflorist.be) promises this event to be a visual spectacle. “Alden Biesen will be transformed into an enchanting fairytale world for four days,” says director Patrick Cornelissen of the Grand Commandery Alden Biesen.
From Friday September 27 until Monday, September 30, 2024, visitors will be immersed in the beautiful world of floral art: a true symbiosis between art, culture and heritage. Of course we will go there too!
On Friday, September 27, a “Floral Hats” day will most likely also be organised.
This new event is replacing the previous partnership but promises to be just as spectacular.
Our plans are confirmed, and we have our hotel and visits in place. Your base will be Hasselt in one of two hotels we have used regularly over the previous years.
This is exciting and the enthusiasm to put on a fabulous event is abound so if you would like to join us on this tour please do not hesitate to get in touch!!
By way of an outline for the Alden Biesen tour based on 4 days, 3 nights....
Day 1 - Morning departure by executive coach to travel to Belgium via a Euro Tunnel/Ferry crossing, then on to your hotel with comfort stops en-route. Arrival at the hotel late afternoon or early evening. A group evening dinner can be arranged if you wish*.
Day 2 - Following breakfast take the short coach journey to The Commanderie d'Alden Biesen in Bilzen for the event. At the end of the day load the coach up with your purchases and return to the hotel. A group evening dinner can be arranged if you wish*.
Day 3 - After breakfast take the coach to a local Floral wholesaler returning to the Event or the hotel around lunch time for the afternoon of either free time to enjoy the delights of the town or continue the delights of visiting the event. A group evening dinner can be arranged if you wish*.
Day 4 - After breakfast depart the hotel for the return journey home with a stop in Bruges or a place of your choice en-route. After a break continue on the journey home arriving back in the UK that evening.
* We are happy to arrange an evening meal, for a supplement, at the hotel or a local restaurant for any of the nights of your stay, payment may be on an individual or group basis.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility to tailor the tours to your specific needs. As a result, the group tour can be any combination of days, and depart on any day of your choice. If you are a group the pick up points are of your choice. As an individual we will try to pick you up from a destination of your choice along the route. The hotels we use are always 3 or 4 star and all have been visited by us to ensure we deliver the standard we promise.
